Berserk Exhibit Creates Life-Size Zodd

Following the tragic death of from Berserk creator, Kentaro Miura, the anime series was in limbo as fans wondered if the series would ever receive an official ending. Fortunately, Miura’s friends Koji Mouri and Studio Gaga wanted to honor their late friend by using the notes they received from the mangaka to close the story of the Falcon Band. To help honor the dark franchise, an exhibit has once again returned to Japan, with the latest attraction sporting a life-size recreation of one of the series’ most terrifying creatures, Zodd.

Nosferatu Zodd holds a special place in Berserk, being the first true Apostle that Guts and Griffith encountered during their many battles as mercenaries of the Hawk Band. With the demonic warrior becoming a legend on the battlefield, Berserk fans have yet to see the apostle officially defeated in battle, managing to have a large, furry form that allows him to tower over his foes. With Griffith the White Hawk finally joining Godhand as the demonic Femto, Zodd is now at his disposal, though he remains a bitter enemy of Guts in the series.

The new exhibition Berserk The major exhibition ~Kentaro Miura’s 32 Years As an Artist~ Ginza Edition, will be operational from September 21 to October 4 this fall and will open in Ginza, Tokyo with the life-size Nosferatu Zodd appearing as if shattering the clouds:

While a new Berserk the anime adaptation hasn’t been announced, a new TV series is coming later this year that will slice and dice footage from Studio 4C’s movie trilogy. titled the Berserk Commemorative Edition, the series may not primarily use new footage, but it will include a number of deleted scenes from the trilogy that have never been seen before. Although this does not confirm that a new Berserk the anime is in the works, it’s good news that the series remains popular enough to hit the airwaves.

Unfortunately, for fans in North America, there is no word on this. Berserk exhibition making its way west.
